Well, what a crazy couple of months it’s been. What have we been up to you ask?
Since opening up our second location last November in Trudoxhill, Frome we’ve only been getting busier and busier spreading the word around Somerset that we’re here to help you all. However, with this an exciting new opportunity arose.
Running a clinic is great fun and hard work but we really fancied something else to spice up the working week! So, Frome RFC was just the thing.
We’re so pleased to officially be the clubs new Lead Sports Therapist for the 2024-2025 season.
From strapping up the local rugby euthenists to assessing the injuries on the pitch side…the role is very different to running a clinic.
What swayed the decision?
When it comes to injuries that we see in clinic, often patients are in a chronic state and the problems been lingering for a while however pitch side is very different. Injuries are acute, meaning that they happen there and then so management requires a lot of first aid.
Rehabilitation is also much more intense in some cases, as the severity of the injuries can be much higher and require different strategies of care – especially from contact sports!
So, with this we’re really looking forward to the season ahead. Hopefully there aren't too many fractures!
