• Tandem stance
• 2 to 1 foot on a balance board or rolled up towel
• Star balance test both clockwise + anticlockwise
• Hopping drills - 2 to 1

Tom graduated from Leeds Beckett in 2024 and has worked around the local Wiltshire/Somerset area in various clinics and football teams.

He’s the current Sports Therapist at Melksham Town Football Club, assisting the players both on-pitch & at their training to optimise performance. ⚽️

Tom will be joining Shield to help us expand our patient capacity. He’s excited to improve his patients potentials and get them back to doing what they love most!

Time and time again, I get patients struggling with hip mobility.

Why? Well there could be a few factors:

- Hip flexors
- Lower backs inhibiting
- Sitting for too long
- Arthritic problems
- Current/previous injury to the lower limbs

To name a few..

Here are some tests to try which can help whittle down which direction might be causing you problems

- 90/90s
- Pigeon pose with a passive lift
- Figure of 4 test
